Obituary

Joyce Lee Anderson, age 93, passed away July 13, 2026, at her residence in Painesville Township. She was born May 31, 1933, in Sidman, PA. to Frank Osewalt and Agnes (Keenan) Osewalt.

Joyce was a very spiritual person and loved the church. She enjoyed going to Bingo with her friends and took pride in decorating her lawn with whimsical gnomes. Later in life she enjoyed watching crime shows and game shows. Joyce was a fantastic cook. Her homemade pierogis, chicken noodle soup and kapusta will be dearly missed. Most of all, Joyce loved raising her family with her beloved husband, Warner.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Joyce L. (Michael) Bonnette; granddaughter Jennifer (Emily Graham) Seymour; daughter, Karen Anderson; granddaughter, Ashley (Mike Barrett) Anderson; daughter, Sheila (Dennis) Dorsey; grandson Kyle (Leah) Loos; granddaughter, Savannah McGowan; daughter, Kimberly Anderson; granddaughter, Kourtney Churchia; son, Warner (Laureen) Anderson; granddaughters, Brianna Anderson and Rachel Anderson; grandson, Jared Anderson; great grandchildren, Evelyn, Maggie, Mckenzie, Zane, Mazie, Blaize, Andrew, Gabriel, Declan and Ameliyah.

A very special thank you to Bonnie and Cathy Elersic, her nieces, for their support and thoughtfulness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner H. Anderson in 2014; daughter, Lisa Anderson; her parents; brothers, Mickey Osewalt, Ray Osewalt, and Frank Osewalt; sisters, Penny McConeghy, Elayne Kosober, Joanne Lord, June Elersic, Carol Fyock and Connie Kirkland.

A very special thank you to Bonnie and Cathy Elersic, her nieces, for their support and thoughtfulness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 18, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
