Obituary

Joyce Jeavons, 90, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, love, and creativity.

Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Alongside her husband, Donald, she spent 57 happily married years full of traveling, snow birding in Naples and dancing. As her voicemail greeting would say “Sorry, we’re not available right now. We’re outdoors playing, having a good time.”

After retiring as manager of Medic Drug, she discovered a passion for watercolor painting. What began as a hobby became a remarkable talent, earning numerous awards and admiration from everyone who saw her work. Her paintings reflected pieces of her life: places traveled, family memories, and the nature she observed around her.

She treasured time with her friends, always planning and looking forward to lunches, outings, and fun together. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, creating memories and sharing many laughs.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Jeavons, and her son, Craig Jeavons. She is survived by her two children, Dawn (Roy) Holly and Dean (Deborah) Jeavons; her grandchildren, Benjamin (Sara), Rachel, Erin (Ryan), Katherine, Jesse and Zachary; her great grandchildren, Kyrie, Nolan, and Declan; and former daughter-in-law Lauren Jeavons.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, at Ohio Living - Breckenridge Village, Osborne Community Plaza (south entrance), 36851 Ridge Road, Willoughby, where she most recently lived.

Joyce will join Donald in internment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio at a later date.
