Judith A. Papesh, age 62, of Painesville was the daughter of Richard L. and Bernice Soika. She was born on May 7, 1960, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio and peacefully passed away at home on August 9, 2022, in Painesville, Ohio.

She was a hair stylist for 20+ years at Studio 91 Salon in Solon, amongst others, and graduated from Chagrin Falls High School class of 1978. Those who knew her will remember what a powerful force she was, as an advocate for the homeless, LGBTQ+ community, and anyone else in need. She was never without her impeccable wardrobe, an AC/DC disc at the ready, and time to share with her close friends and family. Her passing will truly leave a void that can never be filled.

Judy is survived by her sons: Alexander and Jason Papesh (Brandt) of Painesville, daughter: Katherine Papesh of Chagrin Falls, brother: Joseph Soika of Chagrin Falls, sister: Maryellen Ashworth of Hiram., and many cherished friends and clients whom she loved as family.

She was preceded in death by her brother: Richard L. Soika Jr., and sister: Kathy Emrick.

Family and friends will be received 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday August 15, 2002, at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, OH.
