Judy Marie Palek, age 74, passed away March 3, 2021.  She was born September 27, 1946 in Cleveland to Edwin and Jean (Test) Guth.

Judy lived in Lake County for 57 years.  She was the head cook for the Painesville Township Schools System for many years and was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church.  Judy was very active and enjoyed camping, traveling, playing shuffleboard and darts.  She taught Sunday school at the Indian Creek Campgrounds at Geneva on the Lake. She was the best cheerleader for her children and grandchildren. She was the ultimate planner with an endless supply of snacks. Her children plan to continue cheese and crackers, especially during thunderstorms. Events will not be the same without her. Anyone and everyone who met her would remember her and her kindness. She will be truly missed by many.

Judy is survived by her husband of 56 years Charles J. Palek; son, Charles (Lynn) Palek of Painesville; daughters, Jean Reeves of Bedford, Wendy (Mark) McNeill of Eastlake; sisters, Carol Guth of Painesville, Peggy (Joe) Sturm of Chardon; grandchildren, Sydney, Erin, Jenna, Darren, and Shannon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 10th at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.
