Mass of Christian Burial for Julia Bayer, age 83, will be 9:30 am Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church 242 North State Street Painesville. Friends will be received from 2:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville A lifetime Painesville resident, Julia was born on January 29, 1931 in Painesville and passed away on July 2, 2014 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp. surrounded by her loving family and friends. Judy began her career as a secretary for Thomas W. Harvey High School, she then met her husband and raised her family, she was extremely involved with her children's and grandchildren's activities and school events, after her family grew, Judy became an Executive Secretary to the College Presidents for 23 years at Lake Erie College retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Mary Church, the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Mary, and enjoyed reading, working cross word puzzles, playing the lottery, and her daily shopping trips at Giant Eagle; but her greatest joy was preparing her special Cabbage Rolls, Nut Rolls and Bread Stuffing for her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by the many people that loved her dearly and that she devoted her life to. Survived by, Loving and devoted husband, William, whom she married on July 23, 1955 Son, Brad Bayer of Mentor Daughter, Theresa (Milt) Johnson of Painesville Grandchildren, Kerry (Brandon) Willman, Kevin (Kate) Johnson, and Kelsey (Bill) Daubert Great Grandchildren, Julia, Jackson, and Joel Houser; Laurel and Charlotte Willman; Kennedy Johnson; and Lillian Daubert Preceded in death by, Daughter-in-Law, Lori (DiCarlo) Bayer Parents, Frank and Rose (Alex) Toreki Brothers, Frank and Joseph Toreki Sisters, Ella Stropkey, Mary Stropkey, and Rose Tokar Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville Contributions may be made to the Lori Bayer Memorial Fund 4371 Oakbrook Dr. Perry, OH 44081(All contributions go directly to the local chapter of "Make-A-Wish" Foundation).
