Funeral services for Kenneth J. "Jeff" Dernier will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Friends will be received from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.  A Painesville Twp. resident, Jeff was born December 19, 1953 in Elyria and passed away October 8, 2016 at Euclid General Hospital in Euclid.

He worked for Active Plumbing in the warehouse.  Jeff enjoyed golfing, playing the lottery and was an avid Cleveland sports fan.  He also enjoyed watching his children participate in sports and he had a great love for his dog, "Tucker".

Jeff is survived by his wife Peggy (Guist) Dernier; son, Derek Dernier; daughter Natalie Dernier; and brother Dave Dernier of Charleston, West Va. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Dernier and Mary (White) Wiley.

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
