Obituary

Laura Frances (Weathered) Anzelc, age 63, died on Thursday, May 19th at her home in Ohio City surrounded by her loving family.  Born December 14, 1952 to Frank & Frances (Sikes) Weathered, in Slaton, Texas.

She married John Anzelc on May 6, 1978 and had two children John Frank of Chicago, Illinois and Roxanne of San Francisco, California.

She was employed with Thomson-Reuters Westlaw for 21 years as a Senior Principal Editor, and finished her career conducting staff trainings in Manila, Philippines.

She loved vintage shopping, camping, gardening, ocean beaches, girl's weekend, bicycling, walking in the woods and being with family.  She was an excellent cook, voracious reader, and will be remembered for her wry sense of humor, and loving compassionate manner.

She is survived by her spouse and best friend John; children John Frank and Roxanne; parents Frank and Frances Weathered;  brother Thomas (Alice) Weathered of Kauai, Hawaii;  Cindy (Mark) Schiffgens of Austin, Texas; Brother-in-laws Kenneth (Deborah) Anzelc of South Carolina; Robert (Vicky) Anzelc of Illinois; Anthony Anzelc of Ohio; Sister-in-laws Linda Pocza of Ohio; Bonnie Pocza of Illinois; Jerry Lou Pocza of Texas; Joan (Fred) Saari of Florida; Kathryn Anzelc-Henry of Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her grandparents Bill and Bower (Knox) Sikes;  Thomas Irvin and Lena (Hoover)           Weathered; Mother-in-law- Kathryn (Krauter) Anzelc; and Brother-in-laws  Joseph and James Pocza .

Visitation will be at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio on Saturday June 18th from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Cleveland Clinic's Taussig Cancer Institute.
