A Mass of Christian Burial for Leona T. Crouse, age 91, will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville.

A Painesville Township resident, Leona was born on December 20, 1931, in Glen White, West Virginia, and passed away on October 9, 2023, at her home with her family at her side.

Leona was employed at Lake East Hospital as a Division Secretary in the Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology for 25 years having retired in 1993. During her employment, she was named Employee of the Month for her dedication to Women's Services.

Leona was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Christ Child Society of the Western Reserve. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family always came first.

She is survived by her children, Greg Crouse of Fairport Harbor, Donna (Vernon) Rose of Geneva, Melissa (Richard) Gurley of Mentor, and Philip Crouse of Painesville; grandchildren, Melanie (Chris) Barress, Leann (Shane) Kerr, Donald (Erin) Rose, Dillon Crouse, Rachel Gurley, and Nicole (Rodrigo) Bonfim, 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Gobel of LaPlata, Maryland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, whom she married on July 27, 1952, and who died on July 30, 2016; parents Filippo and Josephine (Belcastro) Federici, sister Joann Worthington, and nieces Sharon Waid, Robin Worthington, and Leann (Gobel) Evans.

Visitation will be Monday, October 16, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Contributions in Leona's memory may be made to St. Mary's Church.
