Obituary

Funeral services for Leonard N. Baker, age 88, will be 4:00 pm Sunday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville where friends will be received from 2-4 pm Sunday. A Mentor resident, Mr. Baker was born on June 25, 1926 in Nashville, TN He passed away on Jan. 16, 2015 at Cardinal Woods Nursing Home in Madison Leonard served in the US Navy aboard the USS Reina Mercedes during World War II, participating in the Pacific Theatre. Leonard was an Iron Worker for Local Union 17 in Euclid from 1963 to 1980 and retired as a delivery person for Euclid Foreign Motors. An avid Golfer and Golf Pro, Leonard also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles

He is survived by, Wife of 14 yrs., Patricia (Hale) Baker Step-son, Nathan (Danielle) Hale Step-daughters, Teresa (Ken) Schmidt Tina (Ralph) Lansberry Sarina (Ron) Roy 11 Grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren Niece, Elizabeth Young Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Elizabeth (Burks) Kirby 3 brothers
