Linda Montrose Horsey age, 77, of Painesville OH, was called home by the Lord on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby, OH. She was born on February 22, 1949, in Saginaw MI, to John E. Horsey and Eleanor G. Sandow.

Linda had a heart for people and worked for many years at Hillcrest Hospital as a nurse’s aide, as well as other hospitals and nursing homes in California and Arizona. When she returned to college, she earned her B.A. and M.A. in Social Work from Cleveland State and accepted a supervisory position at the Department of Aging in the City of Cleveland. She loved animals, enjoyed gardening, book clubs, plays, and traveling, where she perfected her Spanish and learned German while abroad. To learn Hebrew to study the Old Testament she asked and was accepted into a Hebrew class at one of the local temples. Linda loved the Lord and loved music, and she used the beautiful voice He gave her to sing in the Malone College Chorale and throughout her life.

Linda is survived by her sister Susan March, as well as many cousins, and will be sorely missed by them and all her dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial calling hours will be held June 4, 2026, from 4:00-6:00PM at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH, 44077. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00PM. A private burial will take place at a later date.
