Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for Lois J. Cardina, age 79, will be 10:00 am Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 521 Plum Street Fairport Harbor. Friends will be received from 5-8 pm Thursday at Mulqueeny-Spear Funeral Home 312 Eagle Street Fairport Harbor. A Fairport Harbor resident for many years, Lois was born on August 1, 1936 in Painesville. She passed away at her home on September 7, 2015 with her family at her side.

A 1954 graduate of Fairport Harding High School, Lois served as it's secretary; she also was a founding member of "Parents Who Care", Past Cheer Leader Advisor, served on the Fairport Harbor Mardi Gras Committee, and Fairport Senior Citizen's Center. Lois was a Team Mom for the Painesville Pony Tail League and assisted her husband, Jim. She was past director of the Lake County Metropolitan Housing Association, and an avid Indians and Cav's fan.

Lois was an active member of St. Anthony Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister.

A loving and caring person, Lois is survived by, Husband, James Cardina, whom she married on August 10, 1957 Children, Jeanne (Rick) Safick, John Cardina, and Jodi (Chris) Trombley Grandchildren, Nicole Romig, Joe Safick, Ron (Misty) McFadden, Scott (Tabby) McFadden, Katie McFadden, and Kristen McFadden. 7 Great Grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by, Parents, Charles and Helen (Locotosh) Ashman Siblings, William Ashman and Margaret Chamberlin

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville. In lieu of flowers contributions in Mrs. Cardina's memory may be made to, Crossroads Hospice 8224 Mentor Ave. Mentor, OH 44060.
