Louise Marie Shearer, age 74, of Painesville Twp., passed away at UH Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, December 7, 2021. She was born June 15, 1947, in Erie, PA to Stanley and Louise (Arusiewicz) Markiewicz

She worked at Progressive Insurance and formed many long-lasting friendships with her co-workers. Louise enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, watching the Steelers beat the Browns, baking, gardening, and visiting with neighbors.

Louise is survived by her children; Lorri Cross of Akron, OH and James Nesmith of Omaha, NE; granddaughters, Olivia and Amanda Cross; brothers, Michael (Gail) Markiewicz of Erie, PA, Tom (Diane) Markiewicz of Bend, OR, sister-in-law Rosemarie Markiewicz of Orangeburg, SC., and best friend, Linda Rogers, of Erie, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Shearer and brother, Joseph Markiewicz.

Louise and Richard enjoyed hosting parties for friends and family and traveling.

A celebration of life for Linda will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM at Painesville Township Park Community Center, 1025 Hard\y Road, Painesville Township Ohio 44077.

Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to: the food bank at St. John Baptist Church.
