Lucille E.(  Kleinshrot) Thompson, age 101, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on June 14, 2025.  She was born February 25, 1924, in Painesville to Charles Kleinshrot and Genevieve (Rex) Kleinshrot.

Lucille worked in her parent's store until they closed.  She also worked at Johnson Meat Market.  Lucille was matron for special education classes at Huntington Elementary School and Madison Elementary School.  She also cooked at a day camp for handicapped children and adults.

Lucille was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Painesville and always enjoyed going to the Women's Hosanna Circle meetings each month.

Lucille is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Thompson and Holly (Mark) Snyder; grandchildren, Timothy (Rona) Snyder, Ashley (Mark) McAlpine Lindsey (James) Jarvis; great grandchildren, Julius Snyder, Lucille Snyder, Logan McAlpine, Payton McAlpine, Nathaniel McAlpine and Jameson McAlpine; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Thompson; son, Richard Thompson; brothers, Kenneth Kleinshrot and William Kleinshrot; and her parents,

Friends will be received 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Funeral services will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  Private interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Bristolville, Ohio.
