Funeral Services for Lynn Brainard Whipple, age 94, will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 11th at First Baptist Church of Painesville, 10801 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Painesville, OH.  Family and friends may call 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, prior to the service, at the church.

Mr. Whipple was born to John and Addie (Corwell) Whipple, April 14, 1923 in Painesville and passed away May 8, 2017 at his residence.

He was a life-long Lake County resident and was a 1941 graduate of Harvey High School.  Lynn was a member of First Baptist Church.  He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II and worked for Uniroyal Chemical and Diamond Alkali as an electrician.

He was a member of the N. R. A., loved hunting, trapping animals, and reloaded his own bullets.  He was also an environmentalist and nature lover.   Watching the world of politics on TV was a favorite pastime.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Judith A. (Burnett) Whipple; son, Kevin (Tracey Garten) Whipple of Painesville; daughters, Tracy (Dennis) Balante of Concord Township and Amy Sue (Milton) Terrill of Painesville; grandchildren, Sarah, Colin, Eric, Rachele and Chace; great-grandchild, Corbin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vivian (Eugene) Abbott; and grandson, Cameron Joseph Lynn.
