Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret "Margie" (Hogya) Turchik, age 88, will be 10:00 am Tuesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 521 Plum Street Fairport Harbor, where friends will be received from 9am to 10am Tuesday.
The daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Simko) Hogya was born on April 1, 1927 in Fairport Harbor. A resident of Fairport Harbor, Margie passed away on August 1, 2015 at her son's home in Rock Creek.
Mrs. Turchik was a member of St. Anthony Church where she was very active in numerous church projects which included cooking for the church's Mardi Gras food tent, cabbage roll and pastry sales for the church.
Marge was well known for her gourmet chicken paprikash, soups, and pastries.
