Maria E. Guzman, age 75, passed away May 20, 2026, in Jefferson, Ohio. She was born August 2, 1950, in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico to Monserrate Guzman Santiago and Eugenia Esmurria Mendez.

I wanted to share a few details about what Maria “Geñi” enjoyed most. She always appreciated a good bargain and loved spending time at yard sales and local thrift stores. Most of all, she had a deep passion for her flowers and Dogs.

Maria worked at Program Plastics for many years.

Maria is survived by her son, Elias & (Naomi) Nuñez and Dolmary &(Matthew) Jackson & Jose M. Garcia, grandchildren, Savannah Nuñez, Eljah Nuñez, Lilliana Milan, Julian Jackson, Omar A. Garcia; step-grandchildren, Nathan Jackson and Ben Jackson; great grandchild, Mila Mae Williams; five siblings.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends will be received 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.
