Obituary

Mark F. Pierce, age 64, passed away peacefully with dignity and pride on December 16, 2020. His wish was to spend his final days with his niece Bonnie (Randy) by his side at their home in Painesville. He was born February 21, 1956 in Painesville to Clarence and Cornelia (Harris) Pierce. His younger years were spent playing football, senior league baseball, and racing his #13 Chevy chevelle at Painesville Speedway. Mark retired as a machinist from E Manufacturing Company. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and nascar enthusiast. He loved nature and spending time with his family. He battled lung cancer for five long years driven with a fierce love for his grandchildren. Along the way on his journey he contemplated this obituary. He wanted to say a few things. 1. If you did something wrong, just apologize! 2. Work hard, but don't forget to play hard too. 3. Don't judge people. 4. If life gets too hard, go fishing. 5. Help people when you can. 6. Say "Thank you" goes a long way and it's FREE! 7. Don't cry when I die, have a party and drink a beer. Although Mark was taken so much earlier than we would've ever wanted, we know that a spirit like his will live on forever. Mark is survived by his life partner Ann of 37 years with whom he had two children son, Clarence (Courtney) Pierce; daughter, Samantha (Josh) Braff; father, Clarence Pierce; brothers, George (Bonnie) Pierce; Mike (Kim) Pierce and Leroy (Debbie) Pierce, grandchildren Sara, Ella, Carson, Chesney and baby Jacob, 8 nephews and 3 nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cornelia and his big brother Clarence. In his memory please donate money, time, or love to someone in need.
