Mark D. Webster, age 102, passed away peacefully, November 9, 2022, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born August 30, 1920, in Painesville to Mark Webster Sr. and Mildred (Beebe) Webster.
He is survived by two sons, Dr. John (Jane) Webster and Paul (Kathi) Webster; grandchildren, Jennifer Miller, Matthew Webster, Joshua King, Branden Webster, Sarah Webster Schleeper, Danielle Conrad, Shawn Webster and Heather Hudson; step-sons, Robert (Martha) Williams and Roy (Linda) Williams; step-daughter, Linda (Roy) Doan; step grandchildren, Jeff Williams, Jennifer Williams, Scott Williams, Kelly Williams, Rick Williams and Keith Williams; many great and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lois Albright and Louise Hall, and numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Blanche (nee Roberts) and his second wife, Hazel Williams Webster, a daughter, Jane (Bob) Gilbert and a son, Bob (Jan) Webster, granddaughter, Rachel Webster, grandson, Bill Hudson, siblings, Gladys Matyas, Guy Webster, Philip Webster, and Bernice Hilston, and his parents.
Mark was a life-long resident in the Painesville area. He was a World War II army veteran, serving both in Europe and Asia. He retired from Diamond Alkali and later worked at Bitzer's Furniture. He was a member of First Church of Christ in Painesville. His interests over the years included gardening and attending celebrations with his extended family.
Visitation will be held at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville on Monday, November 14, 2022, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, followed by the funeral service on Tuesday, November 15th at 11:00 AM, with Dr. John M. Webster, presiding.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be to First Church of Christ, 422 Mentor Avenue, Painesville OH 44077 or to the Blue Rock Christian Camp, 17670 Moseley Road, Thompson, Ohio 44086.
