March 22, 1944 – March 24, 2020
Marlene A. White, age 76, peacefully passed away March 24, 2020 at her daughter's residence in Mentor. She was born March 22, 1944 in Cleveland to Alexander C. and Jane E. (Peterson) Dingle.
Mrs. White worked as the manager of the Painesville Elks Club, a waitress at the Depot Café in Painesville, and in the dietary department at Lake East Hospital Systems for many years. She was also the manager VFW Post 7939 in Leroy Township.
Marlene enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, friends, and her cat. She loved cooking and baking with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the holidays when her family would get together. Her favorite place to be was at home.
She truly loved being at the VFW Post 7939; from the pork chop dinners, to the bowling league,to the margarita nights.
She is survived by her daughter, Jayne (Todd) Bandelow; sons, Jack (Kathy) White and Randy (Crystal) White; her brother, Brian (Pam) Dingle; six grandchildren Megan (Scott) Owen, Sarah (John) Everett, Jake White, Elizabeth White, Annabelle White, Nathan White; and one great-granddaughter Aubrie Everett; in-laws , Ann (Jim) Burns, Karen (Ray) Sandor, Jerry (Denise) White, Bob (Pam) White, Bettie Dye, Dennis (Cheral) White, and Greg (Lynn) White; Ida Dingle; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her cat Layla.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents Alexander C. and Jane E. (Peterson) Dingle; her husband Dorsie Jack White in 2006; daughter, Jill White; brother Richard Dingle; in-laws Dorsie P. and Annette (Wieford) White; sister-in-law Debra White.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.
