Marlyss J. Sekki, age 76, passed away February 7, 2023, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.  She was born December 13, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan to Gerald and Roma (Elling) Cole.

Marlyss was the Music Director and Organist at St. Paul's Lutheran Church for over 30 years.  She enjoyed attending musical performances of all kinds.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, teaching music, vacationing and celebrating the holidays.

Marlyss is survived by her daughters, Sarah Sekki, Miriam Armstrong, and Rachel (Patrick) Sekki; grandchildren, Maia Armstrong and Sisu Sekki Snowhill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Arthur Sekki.

The celebration of life will be from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 250 Bowhall Road, Painesville Township, Ohio.  If you would like to bring an instrument and play a piece during the celebration to share our mom's passion for music with others, you are welcome to do so.  Funeral Services will immediately follow at 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Paul's Lutheran church and preschool to further the ministry she was dedicated to for such a large part of her life!
