Funeral services for Martin J. Kujala, age 88, will be 7:00 pm Wednesday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville where friends will be received from 4-7 pm Wednesday. Pastor Tom Chapman of the Grand River Community Chapel will officiate services.

A Leroy Twp. resident, Martin was born on April 3, 1927 in Painesville and passed away on Sept. 12, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Kujala served in the US Marine Corps during World War II participating in the Pacific Theatre.

He graduated from Thomas W. Harvey High School in Painesville.

Martin was a member of Gunny Hall Marine Corps Detachment where he was known as "Pappy", Leroy Community Chapel, and the Deepwood Foundation

He is survived by, Sons, Lynn (Kathy) Kujala of Leroy Twp. Larry (Pam) Kujala of Broomfield, Colorado

Grandchildren, Sarah Falcone, Lucas Kujala, Martin Kujala, and Jessica Kujala Great Grandchildren, Bryson Kujala, Landon Kujala, and Bayley Kujala Preceded in death by, Wife, Jean (Hopkins) Kujala in 2008 Son, Lyle Kujala (former "Mayor" of Deepwood) Parents, Emil and Emilia Kujala Brothers, Walter, Armas, and Toivo Kujala Sister, Bertha Johnson
