Obituary

Funeral Services for Mary Ellen Hall, age 75, will be held at 11am on Tues 5/12 at the chapel of the First Church Congregational 22 Liberty St. Painesville.

Friends & Family will be received from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Mon 5/11 at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville.

Mary Ellen, the daughter of Ray and Marie (Haskell) King was born with her identical twin sister, on August 23rd, 1939 in Painesville.

Growing up she was involved in Rainbow Girls and Pilgrim Fellowship.

As a 1958 graduate of Riverside High School, she had studied dance, along with her twin sister Marjorie, at the Studio Theater in Painesville under the instruction of Bettie & Gordie Gray. Because of her choreography ability in modern dance, she was accepted into the Orchesis Dance Society as a freshman at Miami University. At the end of the year, she was awarded a scholarship to the Juilliard School of Dance in New York. Later on, Mary Ellen went on to teach modern dance and acrobatics in a summer program for young girls, and also at the DTJ in Taborville.

Mary Ellen also worked for several employers during her life including: Krestensen Realty Co. in Painesville, Cochran Paint & Wallpaper in Painesville, Petersen Realty Century-21 in Chesterland, Site Illuminations in Newbury, Turney's Hardware in Chesterland, Ethan Allen Home Interiors in Mentor, and the Munson Family Fitness Center.

Active in the community, Mary Ellen was a member and volunteer for the Bainbridge Community Church; was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church; and has most recently been actively involved with First Church Congregational in Painesville.

Mary Ellen always enjoyed flower gardening; inviting people over to her pool; putting on a good clambake; meeting new people; and ALL types of dancing!

She loved her children and grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as "Grammy"!

She was a very expressive and beautiful woman who liked to make people laugh and had a theatrical flair for capturing her audience.

She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
