Memorial Mass for Mary Lamos age 92 a 63 Year resident of Painesville will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 523 Plum St Fairport Harbor. The mass will also be celebrated for her husband Ralph who passed away in 1995. Born to John and Mary (Besserminy) Paul on April 20, 1923 in Fairport Harbor and passed away October 16, 2015 at the Lantern of Madison Mary started as a Good Samaritan greeter in 1985 at the Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida, she would dress as a clown and introduce herself to the patients as "I am your get well card in living color". Her trademark was to hand out cookies and thus started her nickname "Cookie the Clown". Her repertoire expanded over the years along with her costumes which ranged from an Organ Grinder (Chico) with a monkey to Minnie Pearl. She spread her good will through local festivals that included the Fairport Mardi Gras. She travelled through the streets in parades toting her 3 circus wagons. Survivors: Son, Daniel Lamos Daughters, Virginia (Lamos) Brennan Marianne Lamos 6 Grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren Preceded in death by her Husband Ralph J Lamos whom she married on September 4, 1943 who retired from the Painesville City Fire Department after 25 years Sister Cecelia Paul, brothers, Michael and John Paul.,Parents
