Mary Louise (Gordon) Moskal, lovingly known as ML, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, at the age of 71. Born on June 14, 1955, in Buffalo, New York, to Richard Gordon and Rose Marie (Jennings) Gordon, ML took great pride in being born on Flag Day and often celebrated that special connection. She lived a life filled with love, creativity, generosity, and meaningful relationships.

ML grew up in Buffalo in a warm and nurturing home that helped shape the loving person she became. After graduating from college, she joined the accounting department at Buffalo Otolaryngology Group, where she formed friendships that would last a lifetime.

On September 1, 1984, she married Larry Moskal and moved to Mentor, Ohio, where they began building a beautiful life together. Her greatest joys were their sons, Greg and Steve, born two years apart and forever the loves of her life. ML started their family life with 2½ boys and devoted her life to helping them become 2½ wonderful men.

ML continued her career as an accountant with the Lubrizol Corporation, once again forming friendships that endured well beyond the workplace. Even after retiring, her enjoyment of accounting led her to a part-time position at Cardinal Credit Union.

ML was creative, stylish, and exceptionally talented. A gifted seamstress in her younger years, she often made her own dresses for special occasions—an expression of the keen sense of style she carried throughout her life. Her remarkable eye for decorating and interior design transformed her home into a space worthy of a magazine. She also loved gardening, traveling, and pursuing projects that allowed her creativity to shine.

Above all, ML loved deeply and was loved by many. Her generous and loving nature made everyone around her feel welcomed, valued, and special. She delighted in entertaining family and friends, and every gathering reflected her warmth, hospitality, and thoughtful attention to detail. Whether through a beautiful celebration, a kind gesture, or simply the way she listened and cared, ML had a gift for making people feel truly cherished.

ML loved hosting parties for her friends and family. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling with friends and boating with her husband and boys. ML and Larry spent many warm Cleveland weekends and evenings at their dock in the Mentor Lagoons, enjoying the company of friends at the neighboring docks

ML leaves behind her beloved husband of 42 years, Larry Moskal; her cherished sons, Greg Moskal and Steve Moskal; her mother, Rose Marie Gordon; her brother, Stephen Gordon; and many other relatives and dear friends whose lives were made brighter by her presence.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Gordon, and her sister, Kathy Gordon.

Mary Louise will be deeply missed, but the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, her lifelong friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her sense of style, her beautiful home, her joyful gatherings, and, most of all, the loving way she made each person feel special.
