October 22, 1922 – January 31, 2017
Funeral services for Mary F. Freeman, age 94, will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Rev. Paul T. Christian will officiate. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service.
Mary was born October 22, 1922 in Magdalena, New Mexico and passed away at her residence in Perry Township, January 31, 2017.
She was a school teacher for the Perry School System and served in the U. S. Navy.
Mary lived a full life. She line danced and taught line dancing at the Perry Senior Center until she was ninety, continuing to dance until fall of 2016. She was a quilter, winning first place at the Lake Farm Park 2014 Quilt Show. She wove rugs at Perry Christian Church to sell, to make money for charities. She also entertained others at nursing homes with the Granny Band.
Mary is survived by her daughters Linda (Paul) Christian of Kent, and Roberta (Brian) McAlister of Perry; son, Daniel F. (Christine) Freeman of Port Isabel, TX.; grandchildren, Andrew & Aaron Christian, and Justin & Blake Freeman; great grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron Jr. and Courtney Christian; great-great grandchildren, Brayden and Aurora Christian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Freeman; parents, James F. and Mary (Gooding) Sullivan; sisters, Virginia Johnson and JoAnn Chapman.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd. P. O. Box 567, Kanab, UT. 84741-0567.
