Mary Elizabeth Mann, age 97, passed away November 28, 2020 at her home in Willoughby.  She was born September 19, 1923 in Cleveland to Herbert and Marion (Gallagher) Zettlemeyer.

Mary was a Phi Betta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Education from Western Reserve University/Case Western Reserve University.

In addition to serving as the Chairman of the Board of the McGregor Home in East Cleveland for many years, Mary gardened, and was an active supporter of her Forest Hills community, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland Botannical Holden Forests and Gardens, the Cleveland Playhouse, the Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival, and the Cleveland Orchestra.  Mary's happiest days were spent with her family at her Platte Lake cottage in Northern Michigan.

Mary is survived by her children, Mary Shepard of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Theodore Mann Jr. (Jo) of Solon, Janet Mann Mietty (Gary) of Waite Hill, and Herbert Mann (Marrietta) of Rochester Hills, Michigan, and seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband Theodore, her sister Jean Guion, and her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations honoring Mary be contributed to Fairmount Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and/or St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Beulah, Michigan.  Mary will rest in peace in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church's Memorial Garden.
