Mass of Christian Burial for Maureen E. McManus will be Monday, February 27 at 9:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville.  Family and friends may call from 3 – 7 PM, Sunday, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.

Born March 7, 1952 in Painesville, she passed away February 22, 2017 at her residence.

Maureen retired six years ago with over 30 years of service from the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities.  She was a volunteer for Hospice and the St Mary Church Jail Ministry.  She also worked on St Mary's Chinese Auction and the Parish Picnic Committee for many years.

She loved photography and received numerous ribbons for her entries in the City of Painesville's photo contest.  She enjoyed all nature, animals...especially her kitties, supernatural events and marveled at the wonder of the weather.  Maureen played softball for almost 50 years and was active in Senior Olympics; she enjoyed going to Cleveland Indians games and also occasionally tried to "supplement" her income by visiting the casinos.

Maureen is survived by her brothers, Kevin McManus, Terry (Sue) McManus; nieces Jennifer (Rich) Berry and Erin (Fiancé, Michael Baznik) McManus; nephews, Sean (Dawn) McManus, Matthew McManus, Brian McManus; great nieces, Emma Rose and Taylor; great nephew, Colton. Aside from her "kitties", she leaves behind countless friends who she was fiercely loyal to and she truly celebrated everyone who she came in contact with throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Margaret Denning McManus and brother Bill and sister-in-law Cindy McManus.
