Mass of Christian Burial for Michael Malizio, age 90, will be 9:30 am Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church 242 North State St. Painesville. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville.

A lifetime Painesville resident, Mr. Malizio was born on May 8, 1924 in Painesville. He passed away on April 1, 2015 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby.

Mike was a graduate of Harvey High School and owned and operated Mike's Carpet and Tile in the Painesville Shopping Center for 37 yrs.

He served in the US Air Force

Michael was a member of St. Mary Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 947 in Painesville, the Wolves Club, Jaycees, and the Lake County Y.M.C.A.

He also enjoyed exercising, participated yearly in the Johnnycake Jog, and was an avid bicycle rider.

A loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather is survived by,

Wife, Gloria (Pizzino) Malizio, whom he married on Jan. 24, 1953
