Michael Hugh Phillips, age 67, of Mentor, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Saybrook Landing in Ashtabula. He was born July 31, 1954, in Painesville, OH.

He was a graduate of Harvey High School (Class of 1972). Michael was a realtor for over thirty years, most recently with REMAX. He was a bowling coach at Mentor High School for the past 13 years where his talent and love of bowling lead the teams to high levels of success. He loved the sport and truly loved teaching the kids. Michael also had a love for classical music, musical theater, and was an avid dog lover.

Michael is survived by his dear companion, Mary Ann Alleman; sons, Michael (Vanessa Hawkins) Phillips of Hinkley, OH; Jeffrey Phillips of Warren, OH; daughters, Christine (Michael) Mahan of Bristolville, OH; Michelle (David) Smith of Poland, OH; 7 grandchildren, Dominiq, Jordan, Hadyn, Diane, Claire, Brennan, and Cameron.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh B. and Lucille (Reynolds) Phillips.

Family and friends will be received 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville, followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Dale Diggs of Life House Church in Leroy.
