Michael Donald Spivak

Michael Donald Spivak, age 90, passed away August 16, 2026, at his residence in Painesville. He was born October 3, 1935, in Painesville, to John Spivak and Helen (Solomon) Spivak.

Michael served in the United States Army. He worked as a foreman for the Lindsay Wire Weaving Company for many years.

He enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife, children and many grand children. He also loved working out in the yard, and cooking.

Michael is survived by his wife, Ida M. (Hall) Spivak; children, Michael Spivak, Mike Copely, Steve Copely, Karl Copley, Debra Kendera, Brenda (David) Marino, and Sharon Davison; eighteen grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Spivak; brothers, John Spivak, William Spivak, and Eugene Spivak; sister, Betty Branick; and his parents.

Family and friends will be received 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, August 21st, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
