He often said he had three concurrent careers: one as pastor of the Painesville Assembly of God from 1953-1981, during which the church moved to its present location in Concord; one in business, retiring from personnel at Bailey Controls; and one as a teacher of the Bible. His many years of service and ministry touched many lives through his character, his example, and his love for God and his congregation.
