Monica J.
Mikula
June 3, 1955 – September 17, 2016
Mass of Christian Burial for Monica Mikula age 61 of Fairport Harbor will be Friday 10AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 523 Plum St. Fairport Harbor. Family and friends may call from 5-8 PM Thursday at the Mulqueeny -Spear Funeral Home 312 Eagle St.. Fairport Harbor.
Monica was born on June 3, 1955 in Painesville and passed away September 17, 2016 at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Twp.
She was a receptionist for Carol Tautant DDS in Cleveland for over 30 years she was also employed by Red Wine and Brew in Mentor for several years
She was born and raised in Fairport Harbor, graduating in 1973. She moved to Coventry, the "Haight Ashbury" district of Cleveland, long before it was the cool place to live. She lived there throughout the seventies and eighties, returning back to Fairport to take care of her mom and then resettling back in the port town. She was gifted with the old European charm with the disposition of a 60's hippie. She never judged anyone, never too busy to help, even travelling to New Orleans after Katrina with a group to assist in the aftermath, going without a second thought. But, that's what Monica was, there without question, without consideration for herself. She was a gardener of gardens, a cook of cooks, a friend of friends, a remarkable soul, righteous in all aspects of life, a rock for all in the turbulent seas of life. She touched so many lives and will be so sorely missed, but she will never, ever, be forgotten. She is still with all us, and will be with all us forever, when you think of her, smile, that's all she would have ever wanted.
She is survived by her brother Anthony (Robin) Mikula, Niece Amanda Mikula, nephews Blake and Troy Caduff She also leaves her longtime companion Scott McCulley
She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony & Anna (Wagner) Mikula and a sister Michelle Caduff
