Nancy J. Rendek, age 72, passed away July 13, 2022, at Promedica of Mentor.  She was born November 23, 1949, in Painesville to Edward and Irene (Scheibelhoffer) Horvath.

Nancy was a member of St. Justin Martyr Church in Eastlake and a former member of St. Mary Church in Painesville.  Nancy married her high school sweetheart, graduating class of 1967 from Thomas W. Harvey High School in Painesville. She was a homemaker and always put her family first, above all else.  She had a special love for her grandchildren.  Nancy enjoyed cooking and was considered the "social director" of her family and friends.  Nancy rolled the best cabbage rolls in town. She loved the beach and was fondly called "surfer girl" and "flower girl" by her husband.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Louis Rendek; sons, Dr. Louis (Jill) Rendek Jr. and Edward (Lisa) Rendek; brothers, Dr. Dennis (Pattie) Horvath and Dr. Edward Horvath, M.D., Colonel, U. S. Army (Joy) ; grandchildren, Aedan, Ethan, Colin, Karyn, and Eddie; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Monday, July 18, 2022, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 19th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
