Mass of Christian Burial for George R. Makcen, age 74, will be 9:30 am Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church 242 North State Street Painesville. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. A 21 year Concord resident, George was born on October 19, 1939 in PittGas, Pennsylvania. He passed away on July 3, 2014 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp. Mr. Makcen retired in 2002 as a self-employed long distance truck driver. He was a member of St. Mary Church and was an avid sports fan who enjoyed fishing and especially time with his grandchildren and his pet grand dogs, Hershey and Bentley.
