Memorial Services for Phyllis Kohler Kazsmer 81 will be Sunday August 24, 2014 at 4:00 pm at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.

Phyllis Kazsmer, a lifetime resident of Lake County, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home August 13, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the loving mother of seven children: Karen (Joseph) Kazsmer, Lea Ann (Jeffrey) Catlett, Kathleen (Mark) Schmelzer, Laura Dutton, Steven Kazsmer, Susan Kazsmer, and David (Renee) Kazsmer. She also has seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also survived by brother Edward (Barbara) Kohler. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Lois Mott, parents Glenn and Dorothy Kohler, and a grandson, Steven Kazsmer. She graduated from Harvey High School, Class of 1950. She retired from TRW and Falon, a Swagelock Company. Phyllis cherished her family above all else and enjoyed planning festive events for family holidays. She was a great friend and continued to meet with her high school girlfriends monthly. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
