Richard E Hauser

Richard Edward Hauser, age 84, passed away on May 3rd, 2026 at his residence in Painesville, OH. He was born in Cleveland on July 19th, 1941, to Edward and Anna (Huzl) Hauser. He lived in Garfield Heights until the family moved to a farm in Bainbridge, where he grew up with his 13 brothers and sisters.

Richard worked as a machinist for Parker Hannifin for 43 years and retired in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and golf. He was a member of the Painesville Country Club Senior Golf League for 22 years and was a two-time Senior Cup Champion. He enjoyed traveling to see his grandkids all over the country. He loved spending time with all of his family.

Richard is survived by his wife of 62 years Caroline (Cleversy) Hauser; son, Richard (Lisa) Hauser; daughters, Joanne (Mike) Connelly and Anne (Bart) Rasic;  grandchildren, Chad Connelly, Jessia (Andrew) Keeney, Serena (Jacob) Fleming, Julissa Connelly, Shara (Trevin) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Zaylee and Malachi Keeney; brothers; Tom, James (Debbie), Jerry (Marilyn), Donny (Karen), Kenny (Sally); sisters; Joanne (John) Blechschmid, Mary Lapick, Patricia (Charles) Rudney; sisters in law, Vicki, Terri, Caroline, and Oye. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Edward, Joseph, Charles, John, and Robert.

Calling Hours will be held Saturday May 9, 2026 from 2:00 - 4:00PM at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH, 44077.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00 PM.
