Richard R. Heller, age 77, passed away September 11, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Township.  He was born February 15, 1945, in Bridgeport, Ohio to Raymond and Edna (Jones) Heller.

Even though his light has been taken away from this world, his loving heart for his friends and family will forever shine bright in their hearts.  It was the fitting end to a chapter of his life as he went to meet his wife, Peggy, who preceded him in death, on what would have been her 76th birthday.

Richard served in the US Army, he was a member of Fairport VFW Post #7754, the American Legion, the Hungarian Culture Club and was also a member of the Fairport Harbor Port Authority. Richard enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and his sons are convinced he invented deep-fried turkey.

Richard is survived by his sons, Christian (Lori) Heller and Jason (Elizabeth) Heller; brother, Thomas Heller; grandchildren, Zachary, Ryan, Audrey, Callan, Connor, Riley, and Delaney.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann (Ball) Heller in 2001; brother, James, his sister, Linda and his parents.

At his request, no public service will be held.
