Funeral services for Robert Allan Bednar, age 67, will be 11:00 am Monday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville, with Pastor Mike Currier officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home.

A resident of Wilmington, NC and formerly of Wickliffe, Robert was born on January 2, 1947 in Newark, NJ. He passed away on November 22, 2014 at University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Robert received his Master's degree in Marketing at Fairleigh-Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. He worked in the hair care industry for over 40 years, including Matrix and SalonQuest. He retired as VP of Marketing with SalonQuest. He was a member of the Body of Christ Community Church in Willoughby and an avid reader who loved to cook and prepare gourmet meals for family and friends. He also enjoyed music, theatre, gardening, volunteering, and traveling.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Robert is survived by, Wife, Linda (Shaffer) Bednar Children, Jason (Kim) Bednar of Hawthorne, New Jersey Melissa (Ron) Soden of Edison, New Jersey Grandchildren, Chloe, Hannah, and Jack Soden Jason Bednar, Jr. and Marissa Bednar

Preceded in death by, Parents, Andrew and Ann (Wallace) Bednar

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville
