A Memorial service for Robert W. Boehnke, 90, will be 12:00 PM Friday, March 16th at Perry Christian Church, 3270 Call Road, Perry, Ohio.

Mr. Boehnke was born January 16, 1928 in Fairport Harbor and passed away March 13, 2018 at David Simpson Hospice House.

Robert proudly served as a jet mechanic in the United States Air Force.  He was an analytical chemist for the Diamond Shamrock Company for 37 years.

Bob was a sailplane pilot for more than 20 years and belonged to the Cleveland Soaring Society and the Texas Soaring Society.  He loved the outdoors, he especially loved the many canoeing trips he took with his wife, Pat, and their friends.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia (Bittig) Boehnke; daughters, Bonnie Hermann of Cape Coral, Florida and Laura Posey of Montville; he is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, who were the joys of his life.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Hilma Boehnke and a sister Betty Nelson Mzik
