Robert (Bob) J. Vladyka, age 86, passed away peacefully August 19, 2022, at his residence in Painesville.  He was born August 21, 1935, in Cleveland to Robert G. and Mary (Vodicka) Vladyka.

Bob was a member of the First Church of Christ and served in the US army.  He was employed as a meat cutter and worked for A & P, Topps, and Finast Supermarkets for many years. He was a member of the local 880 meat cutters union.  He was also a member of Painesville Masonic Lodge.

Bob enjoyed golfing, traveling, polka music, a good cup of coffee and donuts followed by smoking his tobacco pipe. Bob had a gentle soul and was a blessing to his family and friends.  He enjoyed helping people and was quick to smile, especially while cooking.

Robert is survived by his wife, Janet E. (Fries) Vladyka; son, Douglas (Kim) Vladyka; daughters, Debra (Jerry) Brothers and Dorene (Nino) Rosa; nine grandchildren: Brittany, Candice, Elliott, Adam, Anthony, Kaitlyn, Christopher, Lauren and Angela.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Albert Vladyka.

Friends will be received 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
