Mass of Christian Burial for Robert W. Polzer, age 83, will be 10:00 am Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church 16550 Rock Creek Rd. Thompson. Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Sunday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. A Leroy Twp. resident for over 60 yrs., Mr. Polzer was born on March 23, 1931 in Cleveland. He passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sept. 26, 2014 at his residence.

A 1949 graduate of Collinwood High School, Robert retired after 34 yrs. as a tool and die maker for the former Euclid Inc.

Bob served in the US Army participating in the Korean War and served 32 yrs. in the Army Reserves.

He was a member of St. Patrick Church and a former Leroy Twp. Trustee where he also served as the zoning inspector for many years.

He was the beloved husband of Ruth (nee Benedict) Polzer, whom he married on Feb. 16, 1954 Loving Father of Elaine (late Ed) Stephens, Kathy (Joe) Pinchot, Barb (Michael) Hilston, Nancy (late Ted) Bullard, Robert (Tam) Polzer, Lisa (Mike) Rowan, and Mary Dregne. Dear grandfather of 23 and great grandfather of 12. Dear son of the late Alois R. and Barbara (nee Nauth) Polzer, brother of the late Louis (Betty) Polzer.
