Robert Scott, age 83, of North Royalton and formerly of Painesville, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2016.

Robert graduated from Wickliffe High School, class of 1950 where he was a four sport letterman.  Bob, co-captain of the football team was voted one of the best running backs in the state of Ohio. As captain of the basketball team, Bob was voted top player in the sectional tournament and elected to the all-star team for the Western Reserve league.  Bob ran sprints in track and played baseball helping his team place second in the state of Ohio.

Bob attended Kent State University where he played running back scoring many touchdowns for the Golden Flashes.

Bob owned the former Scott-Tucker Insurance Agency in Painesville.  He was a member of the Madison Country Club, Quail Hollow Country Club and a long time member of the 'Fly's Open Golf League' at Painesville Country Club.  Bob was also a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge 1938 in Parma.

He is survived by his children Robert J. (Jackie) Scott of North Royalton, Daniel (T. Colleen) Scott of Ashtabula, Amy Scott of Conneaut, grandchildren Tiffany, Sarah, Daniel Jr., Kyle, Andrew, Kathryn, Chrisley, Hannah, and Josh.  Great grandchildren Thomas, Kalli, Skyler, Keegan, Karter, Natalee, and Korbin.  He is preceded in death by, wife Nancy C. Scott (1992) and son Thomas Scott (2013), brother Stanley and parents David S. and Chrisley (Jones) Scott.

Interment will be in Whitehaven Memorial Park in Mayfield.
