Mass of Christian Burial for Ronald Dietz age 72 of Painesville will be Saturday at 9:30 am at St. Mary Catholic Church 242 North State St. Painesville. Family and friends may call from 4-7 Friday  at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Painesville.

Born September 24, 1943 in Cleveland and passed away April 6, 2016 at Carrington Park Nursing Home in Ashtabula.

Ron was a Police Officer for the City of Painesville for several years and was also a firefighter for the Painesville Township Fire Department. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and range shooting, watching John Wayne  and Clint Eastwood movies, listening to Rock and Roll from the 50s  and spending time with his family was always most important to him. He was the youngest Union Steward at Euclid Beach Park. He served in the U. S. Navy.

He is survived by his sons,Donald J. (Dawn) Dietz of Sheffield Twp.,Robert Dietz of Painesville Twp,Gary V. Dietz of Painesville Twp.,Daughter, Michelle Dietz of Painesville
