Roseanne (Bezzeg)
Knack
March 27, 1941 – March 18, 2026
Roseanne (Bezzeg) Knack, formerly of Concord Twp. and Euclid, passed away peacefully just days before her 85th birthday. She was a devoted wife of 59 years to the late John R Knack Jr., who passed away in January 2021.
Born March 27th, 1941, to the late and beloved Steven John Bezzeg and Marjorie "Louise" (Nims) Bezzeg in Fairport Harbor. OH.
An "unsung hero" and shining example of grace and strength, Roseanne was not only the wife of a U.S. Marine and Euclid Police Captain she was also a mother to military and law enforcement officers for more than 60 years and presently a grandmother to a fireman. She had unwavering faith, a big heart and she only saw the good in everyone.
An exceptionally gifted pianist, Roseanne began playing the piano at the age of four and shared this extraordinary gift of music her entire life. She was an avid quilter producing beautiful work by hand and even earning an award in a national competition. She also enjoyed crocheting and various forms of needle work, regularly gifting her handmade works to loved ones.
Roseanne had a lifetime love for the town of Fairport Harbor where she was born and raised. She was especially blessed to enjoy many lifelong friendships with her childhood friends.
She was a devoted wife and mother who put a career on hold until her children were all in school. She then attended nursing school, obtained her license and began her career as a nurse at the former Lake East Hospital in Painesville.
Roseanne enjoyed genealogy and successfully researched family history, accomplishing this all pre-internet. Through her hard work and dedication, she was honored to achieve membership in "Daughters of the American Revolution". She took amazing pride in her family roots and her Hungarian heritage.
An only child, she grew up with the love of many cousins and regularly enjoyed "cousins' lunch" outings as well as many letters and phone visits with family in New Mexico.
Following the loss of her husband it became necessary for Roseanne to reside in a memory care facility. She was an intelligent woman who never lost her sweet disposition and sense of humor with her clever comebacks. The family is especially thankful to the staff (past and present) of "Symphony at Mentor" for the care and love they gave to her on a daily basis and to the many volunteer visitors and entertainers who regularly shared their gifts and time with the residents.
The family is also very grateful for the friends who took her out to breakfast while she was able. Those who visited, called and regularly sent cards, these acts of friendship made her very happy. She also received kindness, friendship and fellowship from her lifelong parish, St. Anthony of Padua in Fairport and especially enjoyed Sunday visits and communion from their wonderful outreach volunteer Char.
An additional big thank you to the team at the "Hospice of the Western Reserve" for absolutely everything provided to those you're dedicated to serve during this final journey in life. Every member of her care team was beyond exceptional and she was blessed.
Roseanne is survived by her children, Sharon (Bruce) Fedor, Steven (Jacqueline) Knack, Karen Knack, J. Gregory (Kristy) Knack and Michael Knack. Grandchildren, Kayla Reinhold, Samantha Martz, Noelle Pallendino, Thade Fedor, Kevin and Britney Laux, Charlie, Clara, Victoria, Emily and Michael Knack as well as seven great granddaughters, a great grandson and a new surprise due in June.
Proverbs 31:25-27 and 31 "Strength and honor are her clothing; she is confident about the future". "Honor her for all that her hands have done and let her works bring her praise at the gate"
She was preceded in death by her "other half" husband, John R. Knack Jr. His passing occurred during covid restrictions, and a proper farewell was not possible; they will now together be laid to rest.
