Roy (Buck) Smith, age 77 of Painesville, passed away peacefully August 18, at his home with his family at his side. Born in Pennington Gap, Virginia to Claude & Tilda (née Rutherford) Smith on October 27, 1938. His family then moved to Kingsport, Tennessee, living on The Island.

Bucky was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in 1957. "OT" retired from Morton Salt. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and checking out the flea market.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Stella, brothers Robert & Paul, sisters, Thelma, Pauline & Hazel.

He is survived by his brother Billy (Nellie) of Kingsport. His stepchildren, Linda (Fred) Anyzeski, Terry (Carol) Hayward, Chuck (Kelly) Hayward, Rick Hayward, Denise Nicholson and many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Services for Roy Smith, will be 12:00 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, OH. Family and friends will be received 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
