Obituary

Ruby Ann Brewer, age 70, of Chardon, passed away February 21, 2017 at Concord Village, Concord Twp.  She was born September 29, 1946 in Wendel, West Virginia.  Family and friends will be received from 11 AM until 1 PM Sunday, February 26th 2017, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.  There will be a prayer service at 12:45 PM.

Ruby grew up in Wendel, West Virginia. In August of 1955, Ruby and her family moved to Painesville Township Ohio. Her first job was at the Industrial Rayon in Painesville Township. Later in life she worked at Service Master then finally at Heather Hill Nursing Home for approximately 9 years where she was a housekeeper. She married the love of her life, Willis E. Brewer on November 22, 1967. They built a house in Chardon in 1971 where they lived and raised both of their children.  She enjoyed putting corn out for the deer and feeding other animals and birds in her back yard. She also loved to garden. She loved watching the Discovery and Animal Planet Channels. Her favorite hobby was listening to her police scanner. She loved to color as well.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Debora A. (Richard) Brewer-Campbell of Radford, VA.; son, Aaron D. (Taunya) Brewer of Madison; grandchildren, Johnny (Morgan) Brewer of Hillsville, VA., Andrew Brewer of Madison and Julianna Brewer of Geneva; sister, Florence (Dale) Cleavenger of Grafton, West Virginia: nephew, Kevin Cleavenger of Bridgeport, West Virginia, and her great granddaughter, Iris of Hillsville, VA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis E. Brewer and her parents, Pete and Viola (Taylor) Melnyk, her son Willis E. Brewer Jr, and her niece Dawn Lynn Cleavenger
