Sandra L. Alden, age 69, passed away January 11, 2026, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.  She was born April 19,1956, in Painesville to David Whitley and Pauline (Paramore) Whitley.

Sandy worked in sales.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Painesville.

She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, traveling, spending time with family, friends and playing with the grandkids, gardening and listening to music.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 48 years, James Alden; sons, James Alden Jr. of Mentor and Jason (Nour) Alden of Virginia; grandchildren, Bassam and Leyla; sisters, Patricia (Donald) Abrahamson, Shelby (Daniel) Cratcha, Carol (Larry) Hesketh and Lori Whitley; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends will be received 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Friday, January 16, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.  The Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 17th, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street in Painesville.  PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
