Sheila C. Houston, age 86, passed away June 17, 2026, at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Township. She was born February 25, 1940, in Painesville to Andrew Loxterman and Margaret (White) Loxterman.

Sheila was retired and enjoyed traveling to Lake Chautauqua with her dog and family, spending time bird watching, and social lunch dates with friends.

Sheila is survived by Gayle Haase (partner, Cynthia Nash), Colleen (John) Hughes, James Haase, Melissa (Greg) Smith. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Laura Crea, Andrew (Kali) Lombardy, Nick (Whitney) Lombardy, Samuel Smith, Kyle Smith, Benjamin Smith; and five great grandchildren, Anthony (A J), Josie, Banks, Boston and Navy; nephew, Christopher (Sharie) Loxterman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Houston, in 2001; her parents; and her brothers, Andrew Loxterman (wife Barbara) and Frederick Loxterman (wife Sari); nephew, Jeffery Loxterman.

Friends will be received 4:00 – 7:00 PM, on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 30th at the funeral home, followed by burial at Williams Cemetery.

We also invite family and friends to join us for a Celebration of Life for Sheila, directly after graveside services, at the Debonne Winery, 12:00 – 4:00 PM

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lake County Animal Shelter or for Pulmonary Fibrosis research.
