Funeral services for Shirley Mae Smith, age 79, will be 11:00 am Thursday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville, where friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday.

A lifetime resident of Painesville, Shirley was born on June 1, 1936 in Painesville. She passed away on January 2, 2016 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp.

A member of the Church of Christ in Painesville, Shirley enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, reading, and playing face book games.

She retired from the Steris Corporation in Mentor.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend is survived by, Husband, Charles B. Smith, Sr., whom she married on June 6, 1962 Son, Charles B. Smith, Jr. of Painesville Daughters, Christine Lewis, Cindy Samples, and Terry (George) Guinn all of Painesville

Grandchildren, Morgan and Jaime Lewis; Cory and Caylee Samples, and Jacob and Tim Guinn Great Grandchildren, Ryan, Kiley, Ashlyn, and Michael Preceded in death by, Parents, Charles and Lucille (Zuber) Jennings Brother, Charles Jennings and sisters, Mary Mock, Betty Dillon, and Joanne Clark

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville
