SHIRLEY ANN (NE: DOLCE) SPIESMAN age 91, passed away on 9/26/26. Born to John and Mamie Dolce, she married Phillip E Spiesman Sr. on Oct. 1, 1954. Shirley is survived by her children Phil Jr. (Tisha), George, Mark, John (Jeannette), Lisa (Tim Toth), 10 grandkids, 17 great-grandkids, sister, Lucille and is proceeded in death by husband, Phil and siblings Seraphine, Anna, Roxy, JoAnn, Joyce.

Shirley retired in 1999 as the Director of the Painesville Area Senior Citizen’s Center. She loved the elderly and all causes related to their care. She successfully fought for Painesville to seat many Lake County govt buildings and other critical care advocacies for Painesville. Shirley has official Proclamations from both the Board of Lake County Commissioners and City of Painesville Council/Manager for her visible and candid guidance. Shirley was a horseshoe champion for many years and held the title of Ohio Women’s Horseshoe Champion. After retirement, she enjoyed camping and became the President of Lake Village Campgrounds in Andover, during which she speared crucial improvements. Shirley loved her family, friends, and all moments with her grandkids.

Visitation will be held at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville on Thursday, Oct 1, 2026, from 4 - 7PM.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 242 N State St. Painesville on Friday, Oct 2nd at 10:00 AM, immediately followed by a light graveside service at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.

Family and friends will be received for lunch at the Red Creek Grill, 1820 N. Ridge Road, Painesville, after Friday's services.
